COVID-19 Guidance for August 4

Update: 

The Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services issued updated testing and mask guidance for Congregate Care and Day Programs. Please see the guidance below and let’s work together to keep each other and those in our care safe.

Congregate Care Surveillance Testing Guidance

  • Effective August 12, surveillance testing regimen of weekly testing for 100% of staff, regardless of county positivity rates or vaccination status.
  • Previously positive staff must begin to be re-tested after 3 months from the original infection (instead of 6 months).

Congregate Care Guidance

  • Visitors will be required to wear masks indoors at all times, regardless of vaccination status in all counties in MA.
  • Removing exceptions to staff masking requirements. Staff will need to wear masks even in non-clinical spaces.
  • DDS will issue updated visitation guidance in the coming days, consistent with the changes above.

Day Program Guidance
